“If the freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”  (George Washington)

America’s Founding Fathers coined the phrase “we the people” to clarify that the role of government is to serve the people in creating “a government of, by and for the people.”  We are two years short of our 250-yr history, and the continual drift away from the Constitutional guidance of our forefathers for governing “we the people” is in serious jeopardy.

Election 2024 is truly a referendum between we the people and they the government.  Will it be we the people voting to ensure representative government that has made America a great story of human progress or they the government actively seeking to drift away from a constitution that protects the power for the people while centralizing control with a non-representative government of unionized bureaucrats, otherwise known as the deep state.

Historically, the drift of we the people began in 1913 during the Woodrow Wilson presidency in advocating for centralized government run by “experts” to handle the increasing complexity of a growing nation.  In 1989, George H.W. Bush would talk about a “new world order” that would bring about worldwide peace and prosperity.  Then in 2008, Barack Obama called for the “transformation of America” to address the inequities of our capitalist economy, the social injustices among the diverse race, color and gender of American society, and the need to reinterpret the Constitution seen as outdated in supporting the transformation.

While the intentions of these American leaders sound honorable, below the surface the reality of these intentions is becoming clear.  The shift is away from power to the people and a limited role for government to a select group of elites within a big and growing federal government working in concert (if not coercion) with big corporations and mainstream media as their propaganda mouthpiece.

In just the last 16 years, this drift has become an all-out erosion of our individual freedoms and rights, particularly in speech, religion, conservative values, bearing arms, property ownership and wealth creation.  If Barack Obama gets the next four years with Kamala as his next puppet, the ability to reverse this destruction of America may ensure Barack the transformation he called for in 2008.

Too many of our fellow citizens are enamored with these American leaders’ rhetoric and bamboozled by their lies to justify their transformation.  Easily distracted by the mainstream and social media headlines and sound bites, too many Americans are not fact-checking or even expanding their sources of information (or listening to family members sounding the alarm) that may offer an alternative perspective or even just the plain facts.  It is challenging to have discussions on these two positions as they are so very distant in their intentions.  However, it is easy to paint the contrast, especially for this election.

Here’s one possible scenario you might use with people you know and love:

  • Do we the people want to be free to choose the life we desire and the self-governance that ensures our freedom for ourselves, our families, and our communities to keep America the best country (possibly the only one) in the world to live in?

OR

  • Do we the people want to hand over our freedom to choose to the supposed expert, public employees within big, centralized, federal government to choose what they think is best for all of us (such as diversity, equity and inclusion) and allow the transformation to continue as part of a new world order (such as you will own nothing, and you will be happy).

My vote is for “we the people” and America the beautiful to celebrate its 250th birthday surviving the transformation of its destruction.  There are many examples of societies handing the people’s power to they the government who, in turn, made choices for the people that have been mostly destructive of individual freedom and societal progress.  There is still only one society that has succeeded for nearly 250 years for we the people with so much progress individually (nearly 85% of the economy based on entrepreneurs and their small businesses) and collectively (still leading the world as the largest economy).

VOTE FOR WE THE PEOPLE IN 2024 AND KEEP AMERICA FREE AND BEAUTIFUL AND TAKE OUR SELF-GOVERNANCE BACK!!
