On November 5, 2024, we in Thornton, Rumney, and Waterville Valley will vote on who will represent us in the New Hampshire House.  She is on-record for supporting both a sales and income tax and sanctuary cities.  Heather Baldwin has held that position for the past two years and based on her voting record and her current positions, she does not warrant re-election.

Take just a few of her votes over the past year:

  • She voted against tax caps.  This is from the bill SB383-FN  “This bill creates an additional adjustment to local tax caps based on inflation and population changes.  The bill also establishes procedures for adoption of a budget cap by school districts.”  If passed, this law would have allowed each town or school district to vote to have a cap on the additional amount each year on the respective budget.  The bill does not mandate a tax cap, rather it allows each town or school district to decide for themselves if they want it.  This bill is PRO CHOICE.  It is interesting that every democrat in the House voted against allowing each town or school district to decide for themselves.
  • She wants illegal aliens driving in New Hampshire.  New Hampshire recognizes drivers’ licenses from other states.  Many of those states grant drivers licenses to illegal aliens.  SB358 would have not recognized licenses issued to illegal aliens.  Heather Baldwin voted against this bill and thereby allows illegals to drive in our state on their out-of-state licenses.  See this regarding the use of the term “illegal alien”.
  • She is anti-family, she voted AGAINST parental notification of kids school actions.  HB 1312   Requiring parental notification of student health or well-being and certain curricula by school districts.  Read the text of the bill HERE
  • She wants dead people to vote.  She voted to not require dead people removed from voter rolls.  SB576 This bill simply required that when the Town Clerk is notified of a death in the town, they must notify the Supervisors of the Checklist (i.e. the people who manage the voter rolls) so that person can be removed from the voter rolls.
  • She wants biological males to compete against girls.  Boys competing against girls.  The bill passed both the Senate and the House and was signed by the Governor.  Here is a summary from the bill itself.

“This bill requires schools to designate athletics by sex and prohibits biological males from participating in female athletics.  This bill further creates various causes of action based on violations of the provisions in the bill.”
